University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest warmly invite you to attend the CAPE (Computer Aided Process Engineering) Forum, which will be held in Bucharest, ROMANIA, between November 15 and 17, 2018.
Computer Aided Process Engineering - Forum aims to bring together researchers and industrial practitioners for an informal discussion on research topics, new and emerging technologies and results in the area of CAPE. The CAPE Forum 2018 will continue the tradition to attract young science and engineering talents in a particular format to allow exchange of cutting edge ideas on how to advance process engineering in the face of formidable challenges: new technologies, increasing importance of renewable resources and energy efficiency as well as economic, social and environmental sustainability. These challenges will change process engineering in its scope as well as in its content. On the one hand process engineering will need the input of other disciplines to fulfill its future tasks. On the other hand process technology approaches will be valuable contributions to solve problems in sectors as far afield as sustainable regional development, resource management and environmental protection.
The 2018 meeting is planned as an event to enhance collaboration and increase interaction among European researchers working in the area of CAPE, with a strong international participation from: The University of Manchester, Politecnico di Milano, University of Toulouse, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Chalmers University of Technology, Bilecik University Turkey, as well as University Babes-Bolyai Cluj-Napoca and University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. The presentation of new ideas and preliminary results in new activity fields, the exchange of views on research problems and solution strategies enable the participants to accelerate their research and improve its quality.
This website will provide you with all the information you need to register for the CAPE Forum, submit your abstract and find your way around the forum venues.
About CAPE Forum
CAPE Forum is a meeting organised once per year by the volunteers. Its objective is creation of the opportunity for networking by younger members of CAPE community and presentation of non-published results of their research. The original idea of the Forum was the creation of the independent from CAPE WP platform of activity. The autonomy of the decisions by Forum organisers should be preserved to better serve the original aim of the Forum:
- The format and scope of the CAPE Forum is decided by the organiser of the meeting.
- It is not required that the responsible person for the organisation of the meeting should be a member of CAPE WP.
- It is suggested that CAPE WP Chairperson is supporting the organisers according to their wishes and existing technical and organisational possibilities.
- The Chairperson should support the Chair of EURECHA to ensure the continuity of the event by encouraging volunteering to organise CAPE Forum. The European Committee for the Use of Computers in Chemical Engineering Education - EURECHA - was established in 1976 to enable software for teaching and methods of computer aided teaching to be exchanged between universities in Europe. Every year, EURECHA organizes the Student Contest Problem, a challenge for CAPE-students that have to suggest solutions to a broad chemical engineering problem (details about the current contest can be found here).
